The 24th Conference on Flavor Physics and CP violation takes place from 18th to 22nd of May, 2026 in the Physics Center in Bad Honnef

The "More than a lifetime" workshop that takes place at the University of Siegen from September 22 - 25, 2025, focuses on the description of the lifetime of heavy hadrons.

On July 15, 2025, the constituent meeting of the Color meets Flavor Cluster of Excellence will take place at the TU Dortmund University, bringing together physicists and administrators from the University of Bonn, TU Dortmund, University of Siegen, and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

From September 30 to October 3, 2024, the 3rd edition of the "Lattice meets Continuum" workshop is taking place in the seminar center of the University of Siegen.
The focus is on understanding flavor phenomena by an exchange of Lattice and Continuum communities.

Color met flavor in a delicious fusion of science and taste at the first-ever Dortmund Science Night on September 27th. Members of the Bonn, Siegen, and Dortmund groups handed out ice cream inspired by the laws of particle physics. Each quark was represented by a different ice cream flavor, allowing visitors to enjoy physically allowed combinations of quarks.

More than 500 attendees eagerly lined up to sample the different flavors while learning about particle physics. Among the guests were Ina Brandes, Minister of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thomas Westphal, Lord Mayor of Dortmund, and Prof. Dr. Manfred Bayer, President of TU Dortmund University. The event was a great success and proved that sparking curiosity about the building blocks of the universe can be as simple and enjoyable as a scoop of ice cream.
