Science in Theatre: Qubits live on Stage

The University of Bonn and the Bonn Theater are launching a new series of events in which the University of Bonn’s Clusters of Excellence will be presented one after another on stage. The series kicks off with “Color meets Flavor,” focusing on quantum computing, on October 31, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Schauspielhaus Bad Godesberg.

Acrobatics Meets Quantum Physics
Prof. Dr. Alexander Lenz, co-spokesperson for “Color meets Flavor,” will present an extraordinary acrobatic show together with his wife, Dr. Marion Lenz, and his sons, Leon and Kilian. The performance will make the entanglement of qubits in quantum computers visible and tangible.

Live Music by Researchers
The show will be accompanied by singer Annelie Fleck (a student at the University of Siegen) and pianist Dr. Martin Lang (a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical particle physics). They are joined by two guitarists: Prof. Dr. Holger Schönherr (Physical Chemistry, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology at the University of Siegen) and Prof. Dr. Christof Wunderlich (Experimental Quantum Optics, co-founder of the quantum computing startup eleQtron).

No prior knowledge required
Family and friends are welcome to attend the show. No prior knowledge of physics is necessary. Anyone who comes by will experience science and performing arts live and get to know the “Color meets Flavor” community.
