Open Positions
The Cluster of Excellence “Color meets Flavor” was officially launched during its constituent meeting on July 15, 2025 and is funded since January 1, 2026.
Open positions within the cluster are posted on Inspire using the tag "Color meets flavor" and will be posted on this page as they become available.
There is currently an open cluster professorship in Bonn: W3 Professorship for Accelerator Physics
Positions will be offered in the following categories:
Investigator Group Leaders
- Fixed-term (5-year) professor positions
- Own group funding to support and shape the research in the Research Areas
Research Fellows
- Research Fellows for the “Intelligent Hardware Lab” in Technology Area 1 (microelectronics, chip design, FPGAs)
- Research Fellows for the “Innovative Algorithms Lab” in Technology Area 2 (artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational physics, quantum computing algorithms, computer algebra)
Postdoctoral Positions
- Postdoctoral positions in all four Research Areas covering the whole physics scope of the cluster

PhD Positions
