Color-meets-Flavor: Open Positions

The Excellence Cluster EXC3107: Color meets Flavor has been started in the constituent meeting on the 15.07.2025, funding will start on 01.01.2026.

Open positions within the cluster will be listed on this page in due time. Cluster Professorships will be advertised individually. Positions in the following categories will be opened:

 

Investigator Group Leaders

• Fixed-term (5-year) professor positions with own group funding to support and shape the research in the Research Areas

 

Postdoctoral Research Fellows

---

• Postdoctoral positions in the four Research Areas covering the whole physics scope of the cluster
• Research fellows for the "Intelligent Hardware Lab" in Technology Area 1 (microelectronics, chip design, FPGAs)
• Research fellows for the "Innovative Algorithms Lab" in Technology Area 2 (artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational physics, quantum computing algorithms, computer algebra)

 

PhD Positions

• PhD student positions in the four Research Areas covering the whole physics scope of the cluster. Admission will be done in a central hiring process, the first cohort is expected to be advertised towards the end of 2025.
